Description

The Ptarmigan is perfect for those without a big build or for people intent on packing as light as possible. The narrower cut makes it 3 oz lighter than the Peregrine. So why offer two versions? We believe that the inside girth of the bag should match its occupant. Too much space inside the bag creates more air your body has to keep warm and represents unnecessary weight for you to carry. Too little space can squeeze you against the outer shell and can become confining on long trips. A very adaptable bag, the Ptarmigan can be ordered with up to 6 ounces of overfill to extend its temperature rating, making it the lightest -40° F bag on the market.
